Product & Interface Design — ANTE & Co.
Interfaces built to be understood.
UX and interface design for software, tools, and products where usability and communication both matter, not just how it looks in a first screenshot.

How We Work
Designed by trying things.
We start from what you need to say and who needs to find it, try a few directions, and keep going until it's easy to use and looks right. A page that looks good but confuses the person reading it isn't finished yet, so we look at both as we go.
What That Looks Like
A few directions, then the whole site.
Start from what you need to say
And who needs to find it. The content shapes the design, not the other way round.
Try a few directions
We usually show three options, so you can react to something you can see rather than describe what you want in the abstract.
Carry it through, together
The chosen direction is carried through the rest of the pages, shaped together with you.
Keep improving after launch
Real use shows things a review round never will, so we keep making changes once it's live.
Where You Can See It
What each site had to balance.
An upcoming event and its history, side by side
Bits to Breakthroughs
The site had to make the next event in Bern easy to understand and register for, while keeping the talks, photos and write-ups from past events close at hand for anyone deciding whether to take part.
Visit Website ↗Two audiences, one page
Medical Microsystems Laboratory
Researchers checking the lab's standing and prospective collaborators seeing it for the first time both needed the same page to work for them. The pages had to be clear enough for a first look without losing the detail experts come for.
Visit Website ↗Three readers, one structure
Computer Vision and Geometry Group
Researchers, collaborators, and prospective students all needed something different from the same site. The interface had to hold all three without any of them feeling like an afterthought.

Design rarely stops at the interface.
